How to Import Device?

This feature allows adding the multiple a devices at the same time.

To Bulk Import a Device

Instructions

• Company must be a name from Config > Companies Page.
• Device Name can be empty or contain Alpha Numbers and limited Charaters.
• Device Tag can be empty for auto tag generate. If you provide the value for Device Tag, it must be a unique one.
• Serial must be a unique value. It can be in Alpha, Numbers and limited Characters.
• Manufacture must be a name from Config > Manufacturer Page. You can add the new manufacturer which is not in Master Page.
• Model must be a model from Config > Models Page. You can add the new model which is not in Master Page.
• Category must be a category name from Config > Categories Page. You can add the new category which is not in Master Page.
• Status must be a status label from Config > Status Labels Page. The "Deployed" status is not allowed on Import.
• Department can be empty or must be a department name from Config > Department Page.
• Location must be a location name from Config > Location Page.
• Internal Places can be empty or must be a place name from Config > Internal Places Page.
• Purchase Date can be empty or must be a valid Excel Date (eg mm/dd/yyyy).
• Purchase Cost can be either empty or valid number.
• Purchase Reference can be either empty or a invoice number from Config > Purchases Page
• UUID can be empty or contain Alpha Numbers and limited Charaters.
• Warranty Start Date can be empty or must be a valid Excel Date (eg mm/dd/yyyy).
• Warranty End Date can be empty or must be a valid Excel Date (eg mm/dd/yyyy).
• Warranty Months can be either empty or whole number.
• AMC Expire Date can be empty or must be a valid Excel Date (eg mm/dd/yyyy).
• AMC Supplier can be empty or a supplier name from Config > Suppliers Page.
• Notes can be empty or with allowed characters (Alpha, Numbers and limited special characters).
• Order Number can be empty or with allowed characters (Alpha, Numbers and limited special characters).
• Asset Owner can be empty or add username from User Page.
• Supplier can be empty or a supplier name from Config > Suppliers Page.
• IP can be empty or with allowed characters (Numbers and limited special characters).
• MAC can be empty or with valid MAC address without any special characters like ":"
• Device Type can be empty or must be a name from Config > Device Type Page.
• Device From can be empty or must be a value of "Purchase Device", "Project Device", "Rental" or "Customer Owned"
• Stock Place can be empty or must be a place name from Config > Internal Places Page.
• Requestable can be empty or it may be 1 (Yes) / 0 (No).
• High Priority can be empty or it may be 1 (Yes) / 0 (No).
• SEZ Device can be empty or it may be 1 (Yes) / 0 (No).
• Custom Fields: To import a device with custom filed, Add the custom "field code" as a new column and enter the required value below. You can get the "field codes" by clicking above "Download Custom Field Codes" button.

Device Import Information

Device Import Information tab provides the entire history of the import attempts with the counts of each status and the date of the attempt made. By clicking the download document, you can get a copy of the particular attempt information with the given details. Additionally, it will give status and error message.
